Blackboard is fully linked with the University Registration System. If you don't see your modules listed,
it likely means that there is an issue with your registration or you have not chosen your modules. In all cases, please allow up to 48 hours for new additions and changes to be reflected in Blackboard.
There are two ways to access Blackboard for Students - Clicking on the link to Blackboard from sit.ucc.ie which uses Edugate, or by clicking on student login at blackboard.ucc.ie (also uses Edugate).
In all cases, your username is your student number, and your password is your Student IT Password
If your module says (Currently not available) alongside its name, it means that you are correctly registered for it, but your lecturer has chosen to either not use blackboard for their teaching,
or they have not yet released the module to students.
Both Student Email and Student access to Blackboard use a mechanism called 'Edugate' for authentication. To log onto Blackboard click: here
NB: If clicking 'Student Login' keeps bringing you back to this page, it means that you are probably not fully registered for your modules.
You should shut down your browser completely, and try to log in again, using only your student number as your username.
Staff logins, and other non-student accounts will continue to use the default login interface above.
Students: Modules in Blackboard for 2016/2017
(01 September 2016)
Please note the following:
New Modules for Academic Year 2016/2017
Blackboard takes information daily from the student records system. As soon as you are correctly registered for your modules, they will appear on Blackboard within 24 hours.
If your modules do not appear here, you should confirm your registration by logging onto MyStudentAdmin at http://sit.ucc.ie
If the module is in your list in Blackboard, but has (not currently available) next to it, it means that you are correctly registered for it, but your lecturer has not yet made it available to students. You should follow up with your lecturer about this.
Modules from Academic Year 2015/2016
If you are returning to University, your 2016-xxxxxx modules will remain on the system until early October. At this point they will become inaccessible, so we advise you to save any work that you require in advance of that.
NB, The small number of 2016-xxxxxx modules that are running until 31st December 2016 or 28th February 2017 will remain on the system.
